SPRITE+ is looking to recruit two early career researchers (ECRs) to join its Advisory Board membership. One ECR will represent social aspects of digital trust, identity, privacy and security (TIPS) and the other ECR will represent technical aspects of TIPS (although we acknowledge that a single ECR may represent both aspects). At SPRITE+ we consider ECRs to include PhD students through to first time lecturers/professional practitioners (within the first 5 years). This is an unpaid role, but offers excellent personal development and networking opportunities and allows members to contribute to the experience offered to ECRs through the SPRITE+ programme.
You will join the SPRITE+ Advisory Board which comprises members from a range of organisations from government, regulators, industry, law enforcement and academia. The Board’s role is to: provide advice to the Director and Management Team on the NetworkPlus’s strategic direction and activities; promote SPRITE+ with stakeholder groups, and; suggest ways of extending and developing the network. As an ECR member, you will offer insight and guidance on these issues from an ECR perspective. You will also contribute to the wider discussion of the Network and of Trust, Identity, Privacy and Security.
This role is suited to somebody who has:
A passion for championing opportunities for ECRs
An awareness of issues/needs affecting different groups of ECRs
A commitment to working with SPRITE+ Management Team on ECR initiatives
How to apply
Please email completed application forms to Natalie Theodoulou (SPRITE+ Network Manager) at email@example.com by 12:00, 14 May 2021.
Call for Events is now open! We're supporting Members and Expert Fellows to lead activities that explore aspects of TIPS in the Digital Economy. We will help to organise the activity with up to £5,000 to cover the associated costs.
