Early Career Researchers appointed to the SPRITE+ Advisory Board
The SPRITE+ Advisory Board is made up of members from a range of organisations from government, regulators, industry, law enforcement and academia. The Board’s role is to:
Provide advice to the Director and Management Team on the NetworkPlus’s strategic direction and activities.
Promote SPRITE+ with stakeholder groups.
Suggest ways of extending and developing the network.
In May 2021 we put out a call for two early career researchers (ECRs) to join our Board. One to represent the social aspects of digital trust, identity, privacy and security (TIPS) and the other to represent technical aspects. These Board members will offer insight and guidance on issues from an ECR perspective and contribute to the wider discussion of SPRITE+ and digtal TIPS research.
We received a high volume of excellent applications, meaning our reviewers had to make some tough choices. After a very competitive selection process, we are delighted to announce Dr Michał Król (Lecturer in Cyber Security at City, University of London) and Dr Ola Michalec (Research Associate in Social Sciences at the University of Bristol) as our new Board members. Read more about the Advisory Board and Michał and Ola's backgrounds here.
We'd like to extend our thanks to all applicants and congratulate Michał and Ola on their new positions.
Call for Events is now open! We're supporting Members and Expert Fellows to lead activities that explore aspects of TIPS in the Digital Economy. We will help to organise the activity with up to £5,000 to cover the associated costs.
