PhD Studentships in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (x15)

The School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering (CSEE) is delighted to announce 15 fully funded PhD Studentships covering Home fees of (£5,360 for 2021-22) plus stipend. Stipends will match standard EPSRC rates (£15,609 for 2021-22). Studentships are for a period of 3 years and start from 25 April 2022. Our School has a large and thriving graduate research community. We provide an active and stimulating environment to carry out your doctoral research and have an extensive range of specialist labs and facilities. The School comprises of four Research Groups, which are:
Brain Computer Interfaces and Neural Engineering
Communications and Networks
Robotics and Embedded Systems
Research within the School focuses on exploring fundamental questions in these areas, while applied research is undertaken to provide technological and engineering solutions, methods, algorithms and frameworks to pressing problems. The research of the School is supported through world leading research facilities that provide the required infrastructure and testbeds to undertake internationally leading experimental research.

A full Home fee waiver or equivalent fee discount for overseas students (£5,360 for 2021-22) (further fee details - international students will need to pay the balance of their fees) plus a doctoral stipend equivalent to the standard EPSRC rates (£15,609 for 2021-22).
Call for Events is now open! We're supporting Members and Expert Fellows to lead activities that explore aspects of TIPS in the Digital Economy. We will help to organise the activity with up to £5,000 to cover the associated costs.
