In July we welcomed 35 participants from 25 different different organisations to our online sandpit focussed on the theme of 'digital vulnerabilities'. Participants were selected from a range of career stages and research expertise, including technical, scientific, and social science disciplines.
Over the course of five sessions spread over three weeks, nine project teams were created, with five securing funding as judged by the Panel.
We are delighted to announce the first of the five funded projects is 'First Repond XR', which will map the types of digital vulnerabilities that are likely to emerge from the use of Extended Reality in the training of law enforcement, and how these weaknesses can be overcome.
First RespondXR is led by Dr Leonie Tanczer (UCL) with Professor David McIlhatton (Coventry University), Professor Jill Marshall (Royal Holloway University of London), Dr Mark McGill (University of Glasgow) and Dr Lena Podoletz (University of Edinburgh).
Congratulations to the team! Learn more about this project below.
