CREST research published a new report on psychological characteristics of individuals who engage in digital hoarding, and the risks these behaviours can pose to organisations.

Combatting misinformation online: The role and relevance of the social sciences

This session will showcase the relevance of social science expertise to combatting online misinformation, and outline how more effective engagement can be built between academics, industry and government to put this knowledge to practical use.

The Smart Cybersecurity Network (Serene-risc) 2020 Annual Workshop

We are delighted to announce the following projects, which secured funding during our sandpit on 'Trust, Identity, Privacy, and Security in the post-Covid Digital Economy':

> 'TIPS in blended home-work environments: A socio-technical perspective', led by Dr Emily Collins (Cardiff University).

> 'Understanding and mapping shadow infrastructures and TIPS in Covid and post-Covid times', led by Dr Chris Foster (University of Manchester)

> 'Investigating the trustworthiness of AI‐based and data‐driven tools that enable COVID‐safe workplaces: A case study of the Hygieia app', led by Dr Jacob Johanssen St. Mary’s University, Twickenham.

> 'Future Payment Systems: Data, Technology and Privacy after Covid', led by Dr Geoff Goodell (University College London).

You are invited to the SPRITE+ Online Showcase! You’ll have the opportunity to learn about the work of our Challenge Working Groups and our recently funded sandpit projects.

There will be virtual poster presentations and opportunities for informal discussion and networking. More information to come!


SPRITE+ Expert Fellows: Save the Date for the Annual Expert Fellows Meeting

30 June – 1 July 2021

The annual Expert Fellows meeting will take place on 1 July 2021 at the Titanic Centre in Belfast (Covid-19 restrictions permitting).

Invitations will be opened to the Expert Fellows community to join us for a day of interactive discussion and networking.

Travel and accommodation will be funded by SPRITE. More information to come!
