SPRITE+ meeting: the language of cybersecurity

SPRITE+ will host a 90 minute online meeting on 27 January (14.00-15.30) to discuss the language around cyber security – how can we have better conversations about what it means to be safe and secure around digital technologies. Confirmed speakers include Dr Emma Moreton (University of Liverpool) and Dr Ola Michalec (University of Bristol).

There is a growing number of researchers investigating security narratives, portrayals of hackers, militarisation of security language etc. but as far as we know, these researchers are dispersed. The aim of this meeting is bring researchers and stakeholders together to facilitate productive discussions for the language security community.

Please email admin@spritehub.org to express your interest in attending this meeting.

Final day to register: SPRITE+ meet-up with LORCA

There are only two days left to register for our in-person cybersecurity community event with the London Office for Rapid Cybersecurity Advancement (LORCA) on Friday 26 November (13.30-17.00).

Join us to discuss emerging research challenges and opportunities, and strengthen networks amongst our academics, stakeholders, and industrial partners. The meeting will include a key note presentation from Nvidia and elevator pitches from academics and the cyber security start-up community plus plenty of time for networking.
