From practical testing to the development of a new research practice

Stockport-based business and Sprite + partner, the Age Check Certification Scheme (ACCS), is known nationally and internationally for its simple credo: “we test that ID and age check systems work”.
In 2020, it opened its Biometric Testing Lab which enables a team of certification and data protection specialists and data scientists to put a range of age assurance and identity techniques through their paces.
Building on this expertise, ACCS is now looking to build a portfolio of public-policy research projects to help build understanding of decision makers and regulators about how best to allow children to thrive in an online and interconnected world, balancing privacy and protection, through better use of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. If you’d be interested in partnering with ACCS, please contact: Katharine.walters@accscheme.com.
